Inertia’s Review:
Though I am not a “man of the cloth” per trade, I found myself addressing therapists’ and patients’ most frequent complaint–getting in and out of the pool several times a day, and being unable to get changed between clients. Running around facilities in wet suits and an overshirt can get old very quickly. My elderly clients, on the other hand, getting in and out of the pool and having to be exposed to the elements while being transported to their rooms can be more of a health problem! Even a short layover before getting a shower and changed was proving challenging to their internal temperature clock.
I felt obligated to find a quality, and yet economical solution. If you are looking for a cozy, fleece robe to lounge around the house in, search elsewhere. But if you are wanting to put an end to the dry/wet/cold transitions of the aquatic day, you have come to the right place!
I had to return a number of robes that did not live up to their description, or my expectations. I was not sure that I would find one that was satisfactory for our needs at a reasonable price. But perseverance proved worthwhile. Where I found other robes to quickly degrade in quality even after the first few uses, this design appears to increase in quality with each cycle. I have found a robe that I can place the “Intertia” stamp of approval on! This robe is designed for maximum comfort and durability.
Woven from 100% Top Quality Egyptian Natural Cottons: This First Class robe weighs in at 3 ½ pounds, the heaviness of this terry cloth robe gives instant warmth and comfort coming out of the pool. The interior of the robe is thick terry loop, which is designed for one purpose, to absorb as much moisture to make you feel dry in a few minutes. The exterior of the robe is thick terry velour. This not only gives a luxurious feel, but forms a 2-ply effect that insulates the inside from the outside. Terry loop alone tends to let the air in, while the velour exterior forms a more protective barrier. This prevents the loss of heat while at the same time shielding the wearer from the outside air.
The hood is useful even when not covering the head. The extra fabric doubles the warming effect around the neck and shoulders maximizing thermal support. I find this the best robe for the price for the aquatic professional, or patient!
