Maria Eugenia Hernández Ruiz, PT, MSc
Maria Eugenia Hernández Ruiz studied in Mexico at the University UVM where she became a licensed physiotherapist. Following her internship at the hospital IMSSS, she moved to Spain to do a postgrad and the specialization in Aquatic Therapy. During that time, she was an in charge of a pediatric rehabilitation in a private clinic. She became a professor in the university UAQ in Mexico and was in charge of the pool area in the university clinic.
Maria is the founding president of Mexican Aquatic Therapy Association. She is also a member of the International Aquatic Therapy Faculty (IATF), and assists with classes and organization. Maria has been translating for over 8 years in aquatic therapy courses.
Maria was the organizing co-chair for the International Conference on Evidence-Based Aquatic Therapy (ICEBAT- US 2018), and the organizing chair for the International Aquatic Congress (ICEBAT in Mexico 2016). For the past several years she has been educated by Johan Lambeck, and hopes to become a Lecture in the IATF soon…!
